Captain America: The First Avenger

  • A movie that is great for worldbuilding and letting someone get to know the character, aka Captain America. I appreciate that but I didn’t care for it. I fell asleep for the movie and was more interest in the sequel.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

  • The best Captain America movie, in my opinion, simply because it draws on more emotions than the first did and depicted Steve Rogers trying to find a balance between what he knows from the past and what he knows now. The inclusion of the Winter Soldier was brilliant and resulted in a fantastic sequel.

Captain America: Civil War

  • A sub-par movie that was good for showing both sides of the story. In that movie, [although I’m on Team Cap] I can switch sides because I see why it’s wrong on different levels. It shows the consequences of the past and that someone can put their efforts into someone that is possibly toxic, put the needs of a past friendship over a current one, and alienate people that trusted them.

Avengers: Infinity War

  • A heartbreaking movie that moved me to tears. I expected nothing and everything, and the ten-year culmination of Marvel resulted in a great movie that shocked the world.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

  • An absolutely wonderful TV show (that is targeted at younger children but does have some adult themes) that I feel has great storytelling and character development. The show takes place over one year and follows the adventures of the Avatar, who has mastered the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, and his friends.
